Pet friendly doors

My cats can never work if they want to be in, out or somewhere in between. They have the run of the house though, so we have placed pet doors all through the house on both the external and internal doors. Some doors can easily have a pet door added to them and in some doors it is nearly impossible and very expensive to have a pet door added. This blog has some tips on what to look for in a door if you have pets, to make sure that your new door is perfect for the whole family (including the furry members!).

3 Reasons Why Installing Security Doors Is an Important Investment for Your House

Keeping your home secure is more important than ever. Intruders of all kinds are becoming savvier, so locking your regular front door is no longer enough to keep you safe. Even an alarm system doesn't offer 100% protection, as fast-working criminals aren't always deterred by them. That's why security doors are such an important investment. Security doors provide a level of safety that is difficult for intruders to bypass or tamper with, drastically reducing the risk of a forcible entry into your home. They can be installed as front doors, back doors and even internal doors depending on your family's needs. Here are just three reasons why you should consider adding security doors to your home.

1. They are durable

If you're looking for home security that can offer you long-term protection, security doors are one of the best options. Made from tough-grade materials like steel and polycarbonate, security doors are sturdy and can resist any type of force, from intrusions to storms. These materials also have corrosion-resistant properties, which will make your doors more resistant to wear and tear. As such, they need little to no maintenance and last for as long as your house does.

2. They will increase your home's value

If you're buying a new home or are looking to sell yours in the future, investing in security doors is a great idea. Security is of the first things that potential buyers look for in homes they are considering purchasing. If your home already has built-in protection, your property will be assessed at a higher value by the time it goes to market. Security doors are also perfect if you plan to rent or sublet your home. Adding them to a list of valuable features will make your house much more appealing to any potential dwellers.

3. You will enjoy the added privacy

Security doors will ensure you gain a two-way mirror effect so you can see and peek outdoors with no obstacles but not vice versa. They will give you added privacy by making it harder for undesired people to view inside your house or enter it. The doors are made so that they close firmly and tightly, preventing trespassers from peeking inside and any other kind of unwanted attention. They're also soundproof, meaning that whoever is outside will not be able to hear what's going on inside. To learn more, contact a company like Southern Screen Scene.
